Don’t Rush Your Internet Marketing Business

It’s pretty important to follow the directions with most things. One example is if you were baking a cake and the recipe called for “bake at 350 for 1 hour”. It would be a real mess if you decided 30 minutes was long enough. Nothing like what you would expect the cake to look like. It would likely be gooey and flat or at least lopsided.

The same principle should be applied to starting a home business online. No matter which strategies you employ it’s going to take time. This is the case even if you have ‘autopilot’ or automation. Whether or not you use paid advertising, it will take some time.

If you have foolishly gambled with your rent money or otherwise over-extended yourself financially, it is understandable you would now be in a rush to recover. If you are paying membership fees and have other monthly costs then you are anxious to see a return on your investment. This is one element that causes people to rush. Understandable but still not right.

It is still going to take as much time as it takes to start seeing tangible results. Nobody can say when it will start to produce income. Of course income is very much dependent on how much time and effort you are willing to invest regardless of spending money to promote your business or not.

Other factors that we do not control are also relevant, such as the economy, world affairs and even the weather. The employment picture is also relevant and this one can manifest itself either way; when people fear that they may be losing their job or have already lost one, some will feel compelled to save every last dime; others will start to build something on their own using whatever money they have.

Another factor is what people will do when they see your ads or emails. Most will do nothing except read. So you need more time to reach those that are interested enough to take action when they see your opportunity. There are many existing online businesses looking to expand their earnings potential with new programs.

There are always many new start-ups and people exploring the possibilities to make money online. So you are not alone. The point is that only a small percentage of the world population is serious about starting a business on the Internet. It is like finding the ‘needle in the haystack’ to find interested people. So remember this if you feel discouraged if you send 100s of emails and leads and other ads with no response. This does not mean stop.. It means keep trying.

The other really disastrous bad idea for a business start-up is to sit back and wait for the response you are expecting. Never just put out a bunch of ads and then kick back and wait for the money. You need to keep trying aggressively all the time. This is how you build and sustain momentum. Do not become complacent or ever feel you have done enough to promote your business and deserve a rest. You will never have done enough unless you are raking in millions.
