Safety in Numbers – Internet Marketing

It can be said that competition is fierce on the Internet, or maybe because it’s the way business has always been done, but what is done in this regard must be done consistently over time. Because of the nature of the communication, half-baked is not going to do as well as sincere effort.

Keep up the good work

Marketers can never just ‘kick back’ and figure they have done enough, because they will more than likely fall behind if they don’t really invest themselves in their business. One cause of Internet marketing failures, is because some believe they can just do something once or twice. When they don’t see an instant result, they may quit trying because they think it is pointless. There are actually many reasons people don’t try hard enough and most are avoidable.

You need to keep the volume turned up when it comes to marketing. It is like what you would envision ‘finding a needle in a haystack’ to look like. The majority of people may not be interested in starting a home business online. However thankfully there are some who do. You need to focus on finding them and not give anymore attention than necessary to those who don’t. Most of all don’t let them discourage you.

The number that is considered acceptable is a 1% response rate, for example with eMail marketing. Note that response can mean just a further inquiry and not necessarily a sale or done deal – so the percentage would be even smaller for actual sales. That’s normal and many marketing experts online have learned how to succeed with whatever obstacles there have been just by sheer determination.

Evil spammers are worse than ever. As such eMail services are forced to use spam filters. A double whammy, the spam filters are not that efficient and very often can’t differentiate illegal spam from legal bulk mail sent by legitimate online businesses. That means that your message may go to a spam folder and never be seen by your prospect.

However we should accept that regardless of the problems, eMail marketing is still a major strategy in Internet marketing. You need to keep the number of messages you send to customers, prospects and peers at the max to make up for all the obstacles to be overcome.

Whatever you do, whether it is using list builder systems, having lead capture pages, sending solo ads, or buying leads, you need to realize that you will need many ‘leads’ on an ongoing basis.

Maybe most important is not to get discouraged or blame the program or product you are promoting if you don’t get any response immediately. Keep focusing on what you want to create with your online business. Do not give any unnecessary energy to worrying about people who are not interested. Use your time and energy wisely and focus on the ones who are.
